GL Steel Coils Supplied for Construction Projects in Argentina

In August 2020, XuanYi Stainless Steel completed a supply project for an Argentine customer involved in the construction materials business. The order included DX51D+AZ150 Galvalume (GL) steel coils with different thicknesses, widths and coating specifications for roofing, wall cladding, HVAC equipment and other construction applications. By recommending different steel mill options according to the customer's actual project requirements, we helped the customer control procurement costs while maintaining the required product quality and delivery schedule.
The customer contacted us while sourcing GL steel coils for several construction projects in Argentina. The required materials covered thicknesses from 0.25mm to 2.8mm, widths from 700mm to 1250mm, regular spangle surface and coating requirements ranging from AZ80 to AZ200. Since the materials would be used in different applications, the customer needed practical advice on product selection rather than simply purchasing the highest-priced materials available.
During the quotation stage, our sales and technical teams reviewed the application requirements with the customer, including coating weight, material dimensions and expected service conditions. Based on this information, we recommended different steel mill resources according to the intended use of each product. For standard construction applications where stable quality and cost efficiency were the primary concerns, we suggested materials from reliable private steel mills such as Delong and Jinhui. For projects requiring specific brand preferences or higher material standards, we were also able to provide products from established producers including TISCO and ESS. This flexible approach allowed the customer to select materials that matched both technical requirements and project budgets.
Before confirming the order, we checked every specification with the customer, including thickness, width, coating type and production feasibility. This verification process helped avoid specification errors before manufacturing and reduced the risk of delays caused by incorrect material selection.
Another important consideration for this project was delivery planning. During the order process, the customer was concerned about shipment arrangements during China's National Day holiday. After confirming production and logistics schedules, our team proposed two available container loading dates, October 5 and October 8, allowing the customer to choose the most suitable shipping schedule based on vessel availability and project timing. This flexibility helped the customer plan imports more efficiently without affecting construction progress.
Throughout the project, our team maintained close communication with the customer, providing updates on production, documentation and shipment preparation. After reviewing the commercial invoice and confirming the order details, the customer completed the balance payment promptly, allowing production and export procedures to move forward smoothly.
Following delivery, the customer expressed satisfaction with both the product quality and the overall purchasing process. More importantly, the customer appreciated that our recommendations were based on actual project requirements instead of simply promoting the most expensive materials. By selecting suitable steel mill resources for different applications, the customer was able to achieve a better balance between performance and procurement cost while maintaining reliable supply for multiple construction projects.
