309S Stainless Steel Coils Exported to Japan for High-Temperature Industrial Applications

In July 2016, XuanYi Stainless Steel successfully completed an export order of 309S stainless steel coils for a Japanese customer. The shipment was delivered under CIF Yokohama terms, including two specifications of 309S stainless steel coils with a total quantity of 50 tons. This project demonstrated our ability to provide stable supply, accurate technical communication and reliable export support for customers with strict requirements in the Japanese market.
The cooperation started when a Japanese buyer contacted us regarding the procurement of 309S stainless steel coils. As a special stainless steel grade with excellent high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, 309S is commonly used in industrial applications such as heat treatment equipment, furnaces, machinery components and other environments requiring stable performance under high temperatures. Therefore, the customer had strict requirements regarding product specifications, material quality and delivery reliability.
During the initial communication, our team focused on confirming the key technical details with the customer, including coil width, thickness, dimensional tolerance, surface condition and delivery requirements. The order included two sizes: 1525mm width × 5mm thickness and 1525mm width × 6mm thickness, with 25 tons for each specification. Since the customer required delivery to Yokohama Port under CIF terms, we also confirmed the shipping schedule, export documents and packaging requirements in advance to ensure smooth execution.
One important factor in this project was delivery efficiency. The customer needed a supplier who could provide stable material availability within a reasonable timeframe. After receiving the inquiry, our sales and production teams quickly checked the available inventory status and production arrangements. Based on our existing stainless steel supply resources, we were able to provide an efficient solution that matched the customer's requirements in terms of specifications, delivery time and cost control.
Before shipment, our quality team carried out inspections according to the confirmed requirements. The inspection process included material verification, dimensional measurement, surface quality checking and final shipment inspection. For stainless steel coils exported by sea, proper packaging protection is essential to prevent moisture, surface damage and deformation during transportation. Therefore, we used suitable export packaging methods to ensure the coils remained in good condition during the ocean shipment to Japan.
Throughout the order process, our team maintained close communication with the customer, from specification confirmation and quotation preparation to shipment arrangement and delivery follow-up. The customer appreciated our quick response, accurate technical understanding and ability to handle export procedures efficiently. After receiving the products, the Japanese buyer recognized the quality stability of the 309S stainless steel coils and expressed interest in further cooperation.
