Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel Strip Coils Supplied for Tube Manufacturing in Russia

In June 2019, XuanYi Stainless Steel completed a supply project for a Russian customer specializing in stainless steel pipe processing and secondary cold rolling. The project involved cold-rolled stainless steel strip coils used for welded tube production, with material selection based on the customer's actual manufacturing process rather than simply choosing the highest-priced products. By recommending different steel mill resources according to production requirements, we helped the customer achieve the right balance between material performance, cost and delivery.
The customer contacted us while preparing raw materials for its production lines. Since the materials would be used for secondary cold rolling and stainless steel welded tube manufacturing, the customer paid close attention to the consistency of the strip coils, dimensional accuracy and the suitability of different steel mills for specific processing conditions. Instead of requesting one particular brand, the customer wanted to understand the differences between materials from different manufacturers and select the most practical solution for long-term production.

For applications requiring higher material standards or specific customer requirements, we proposed materials supplied by established producers such as TISCO and ESS, allowing the customer to choose the most suitable option for each production line.
After confirming the material selection, we verified the availability of each specification and coordinated production and inventory resources to ensure stable supply. Before shipment, every batch of cold-rolled stainless steel strip coils was inspected for dimensional accuracy, surface condition and material consistency. We also confirmed packaging methods and delivery arrangements to ensure the coils arrived in good condition for further processing after transportation.
One of the key advantages of this project was helping the customer make informed purchasing decisions instead of simply offering the most expensive material. Different production processes require different material characteristics, and selecting the appropriate steel mill can significantly improve production efficiency while reducing unnecessary procurement costs. By providing practical technical recommendations based on the customer's manufacturing conditions, we helped simplify the purchasing process and supported the customer's production planning.

After receiving the materials, the Russian customer expressed satisfaction with both the quality of the cold-rolled stainless steel strip coils and the overall procurement experience. More importantly, the recommended material solutions performed as expected during secondary cold rolling and welded tube production, confirming that the selected products matched the customer's manufacturing requirements.
